Biography


Samir T. Radwan is a film editor and director based in Cairo, Egypt. His journey into the world of filmmaking began ten years ago when he was working on his first short film. It was during this project that Samir discovered his passion for the editing process, quickly realizing it was one of the most rewarding aspects of filmmaking. Over the years, Samir has built a diverse portfolio, working on everything from films and documentaries to commercials, TV series, and music videos. His work has garnered recognition at some of the world’s most prestigious film festivals. Notably, his film Fasten Your Seatbelt While Seated, which he directed and edited in 2020, won Best Experimental Film at the Sharjah Film Festival. Additionally, in 2024, the film he edited, A Promise to the Sea, won Best Short Film at the Gouna Film Festival. As both an editor and experimental filmmaker, Samir brings a unique perspective to his craft, allowing him to see the full narrative arc, not just the pieces that come together in the editing room.
